About these terms
These terms apply to the SquareDeal Pro Lead Magnet (the “widget”), provided by SQD Taxtech LLC (“SquareDeal”, “we”, “us”). “You” means the property tax consulting firm that buys a pack and places the widget on its website. “Visitor” means a person who uses the widget on your website.
By buying a pack or placing the widget on your website, you agree to these terms.
Packs and prepaid leads
All packs are prepaid. Each pack gives you a number of leads, and one lead is used each time a visitor sends you their contact details through the widget (see section 3).

The lead counts above include our launch offer, which doubles the leads in every pack at the same price (normally 25, 75 and 250 leads). Packs bought during the launch offer keep their doubled leads after the offer ends.
Prices are in US dollars. We may change pack prices or sizes for future purchases. Changes don’t affect leads you have already bought.
What counts as a lead
A lead is counted when a visitor sees their value analysis, asks to start their protest and sends their contact details through the widget. We then send you a lead email (see section 8).
Searches are free. No lead is used when a visitor searches without sending their contact details, including when:
- the visitor sees their analysis and leaves without getting in touch
- the property can’t be found, or no matching accounts are found for the details given
- the property type isn’t supported, or has a special situation we can’t handle yet
- the property is equitably appraised at the time of the search
- the county isn’t supported yet
- assessed values for the county haven’t been released yet
- the property’s township isn’t open for appeals
- we block the request as automated or abusive traffic
- repeat contacts for the same property from the same email id are counted as one lead
Unused leads
Unused leads don’t expire at the end of a protest season. They roll over to the next season.
Leads can’t be transferred to another firm or exchanged for cash.
Running out of leads
If you use all your leads, the widget keeps working on your website. Visitors can still check their property and get in touch, and we save every new lead for you.
When you buy another pack, we send the saved leads to your inbox and count them against the new pack.
Leads are queued for 90 days. If no new pack is bought by then, then the queued leads are discarded.
Usage reports and alerts
We send you a usage report every week. We also alert you when your remaining leads reach 30% and 10%.
Reports and alerts are provided for convenience. Our records of your lead balance and usage are the final record.
Setup and customization
We customize the widget’s appearance to match your website, including your colors and fonts.
You can add the widget to your website yourself, using the code snippet we send you. If you’d like us to add it for you, we charge a one-time setup fee of $290. Setup is free with the Scale pack.
Lead emails and visitor details
For each lead, we send you an email with the visitor’s contact details and contact consent, the property details, and the value analysis they were shown.
When the widget can’t give a visitor a recommendation and invites them to get in touch, it directs them to your firm. These contacts don’t use any leads.
You are responsible for how you contact visitors and use their details, including following the laws that apply to marketing and privacy and respecting the contact consent shown in each lead.

Security and acceptable use
The widget is self-contained. It doesn’t read any data from your website, and it doesn’t send any data to your website.
We use security controls, including bot detection and rate limiting, to prevent abuse. We may block traffic we believe is automated or abusive.
You agree not to change the widget’s code, create artificial searches or leads, or use the widget or its results in a way that breaks the law.
No guarantee of results
We don’t guarantee how many leads the widget will produce, or how many leads will become clients. That depends on your website’s traffic and your own follow-up.
Recommended values and potential reductions are estimates. They are not a guaranteed reduction. Any tax savings depend on the tax rate and exemptions that apply to the property.
SQD Taxtech LLC (squaredeal.tax) is not a licensed, certified, registered or approved real estate appraiser, broker, salesperson, accountant, attorney or property tax consultant. Neither the comparable properties presented nor any other statement by SQD Taxtech LLC is advice about the property tax appeal process, preparing any document for a property tax appeal, or appearing at a property tax appeal hearing.
SQD Taxtech LLC can’t guarantee that appraisal districts will accept the opinion of value presented, in whole or in part.
Data accuracy
Recommendations are based on public property records. While care is taken to present accurate data, SQD Taxtech LLC can’t guarantee its accuracy. All data is provided “as is” and with all faults.
Payments and refunds
You pay for a pack, and for setup if you choose it, in full when you buy, online through our payment provider, Stripe.
No refunds are provided for any reason.
Liability, termination and governing law
[For your lawyer: limitation of liability, when either side can suspend or end the service and what happens to remaining leads, and which state’s laws govern these terms.]
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll post the new version on this page and update the version number and revised date.
